Samsung has revealed two new devices, the Galaxy S24 FE smartphone and the Galaxy Tab S10 series tablet, introducing their latest innovations to the New Zealand market. The announcement, made early today, confirms the official release date for both products as 4th October 2024.

The Galaxy S24 FE aims to bring the premium features of the Galaxy S24 series to a broader audience. This iteration includes AI-enhanced photography, a powerful performance enabled by the Exynos 2400 series chipset, and an integration of Galaxy AI tools. The device features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and a 4,700mAh battery, designed to provide long-lasting use. It also includes a range of camera options, such as a 50MP wide lens, 8MP telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom, 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 10MP front-facing camera.

SeaYoung Lee, Corporate EVP and Head of the Smartphone Research and Development team at Samsung Electronics, noted, "We want everyone to enjoy all the benefits of our latest mobile innovations. Galaxy AI opens so many new experiences for users, helping them communicate, and be more creative and productive. Galaxy S24 FE makes the powerful performance and premium Galaxy AI capabilities of the S24 series available to even more people."

In addition to its camera capabilities, the S24 FE supports various AI-driven features including Nightography to enhance low-light photography, and features such as Generative Edit and Portrait Studio for image editing. From a performance perspective, the Exynos 2400 series chipset supports features like Ray Tracing, and the device employs a larger vapour chamber for improved cooling. The phone is coupled with a 6.7-inch adaptive Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with up to a 120Hz refresh rate.

Samsung ensures long-term usability with guaranteed seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates for both the Galaxy S24 FE and the Tab S10 series. This guarantee was previously only available to its flagship models.

The S24 FE will be available in several colour options: Blue, Graphite, Grey, and Mint.

The Galaxy Tab S10 series includes the Tab S10 Ultra and the Tab S10+, characterised as the industry's first tablets designed specifically with AI integration. Both models are built for enhanced productivity and creativity, including a bundled S Pen and AI-driven features. The Tab S10 Ultra sports a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, while the Tab S10+ has a 12.4-inch display.

MC Lee, VP and Head of Galaxy Ecosystems Business Team at Samsung Electronics, said, "The Galaxy Tab S10 series is the first tablet built with AI enhancements available right out of the box, and it's the latest addition to the Galaxy AI family. We're proud to add to our seamless ecosystem of connected devices, bringing versatile experiences that only an AI tablet can offer through the Galaxy Tab S10 series' blend of power and portability."

The performance of the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is notably enhanced compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, with an 18% increase in CPU power, a 28% boost in GPU performance, and a 14% improvement in NPU. The devices include features such as Note Assist and Drawing Assist, as well as a 3D Map View for home device management across the SmartThings ecosystem. They also come with Super-Fast Charging capabilities.

The Galaxy Tab S10 series retains the advanced build quality and durability expected from Samsung, featuring anti-reflective technology for outdoor use and an IP68 rating, along with enhanced Armour Aluminium construction for additional protection.

The Tab S10 series will launch in Moonstone Grey and Platinum Silver and aims to extend Samsung's AI-driven experience to its range of devices.
