Crestron has launched Collab Compute in India, introducing the product at InfoComm India in Mumbai.

Collab Compute is positioned as a hardware base for hybrid meetings in professional audio-visual settings. Built on Intel Core Ultra processors with integrated neural processing units, it is intended for Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms deployments.

The platform supports multiple displays, peripherals, professional audio, multi-camera systems and room automation. Crestron presented the launch alongside a broader range of workplace, control, audio and video products for meeting rooms and connected office environments.

The portfolio on display included Videobar 70, AirMedia, 1 Beyond i12D, DM-NAX and Automate VX. The line-up reflects the company's focus on combining room control, collaboration tools and workplace technology in a single set-up for corporate users and audio-visual integrators.

India has become an increasingly important market for workplace technology suppliers as companies invest in meeting spaces that support both in-office and remote staff. Across the sector, vendors are targeting demand for systems that combine video conferencing, room management and device interoperability.

Gagan Verma, Vice President - India & SAARC, Crestron, linked the launch to changes in how offices are being designed and used.

"The workplace is evolving from individual meeting rooms into connected environments where collaboration, communication and intelligent technology need to work seamlessly together. With Collab Compute and our broader portfolio, we are bringing organisations a foundation that is designed not only for the way people collaborate today, but also for how these spaces will evolve," said Gagan Verma, Vice President - India & SAARC, Crestron.

He also pointed to the value of demonstrating an integrated product set to potential customers and channel partners in the professional audio-visual market.

"InfoComm India provides an important platform for us to engage with customers, partners and the wider Pro AV ecosystem and demonstrate how an integrated approach can simplify technology while delivering better experiences," Verma said.

Regional focus

Crestron's Asia leadership said India is taking on a larger role in the regional market for workplace systems. Demand has been driven by employers seeking tools that can adapt to different room sizes and working patterns, from small collaboration areas to larger conference spaces.

Jacques Bertrand, Executive Vice President, Asia, Crestron, said the company sees India as central to that shift.

"India is playing an increasingly important role in Asia's evolving workplace technology landscape. Organisations are looking for solutions that are flexible, intelligent and scalable, and our presence at InfoComm India reflects Crestron's commitment to supporting this transformation. The event provides us an opportunity to engage with customers and partners and showcase how integrated technology can create more seamless workplace experiences," said Jacques Bertrand, Executive Vice President, Asia, Crestron.

Crestron has long supplied technology for meeting rooms, control systems and commercial building environments, and the latest launch shows how suppliers are trying to bring computing, conferencing and room management into a single architecture. For buyers, a single hardware base that works across displays, cameras and audio systems may help reduce complexity when fitting out new spaces or updating older rooms.

Support for Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms also reflects the influence major software platforms now have over meeting room design. Hardware makers have increasingly tailored products around those ecosystems as businesses standardise on a smaller number of collaboration services.

Product mix

Alongside the India launch, Crestron used its presence in Mumbai to showcase products across intelligent video, professional audio, room control and workplace technology. The inclusion of products such as 1 Beyond i12D and Automate VX highlights demand for camera systems and automated production tools in larger meeting and presentation spaces, while AirMedia and Videobar 70 target wireless presentation and all-in-one conferencing use cases.

DM-NAX, another product cited by the company, sits within the professional audio and distribution side of office and campus installations. Its presence in the line-up suggests Crestron is pitching not only to end-user organisations but also to integration partners that design and install complete audio-visual systems.

The launch comes as suppliers to the office technology market seek growth from projects that blur the boundaries between IT infrastructure, collaboration software and traditional audio-visual installations. In this market, the ability to link room booking, video meetings, cameras, microphones and control systems has become a central selling point.

Crestron said its latest range is intended to support more connected and flexible spaces for modern workplaces.
