Geotab introduces new solutions to enhance fleet safety

Wed, 19th Feb 2025

Geotab has unveiled three new solutions on its Marketplace aimed at improving compliance, safety, and productivity for heavy transport fleets in Australia.

The Geotab Marketplace is designed to offer a range of integrated solutions to assist fleet operators in optimising their operations while ensuring adherence to Australian regulatory standards. The introduction of SnapLogic, Gearbox, and ProDrive Compliance is intended to address specific challenges faced by the industry.

Gearbox is positioned as a maintenance management system applicable for fleets ranging from three to three thousand assets. It promises to centralise fleet maintenance, compliance, inventory, and employee information through an intuitive interface. The solution aims to replace traditional spreadsheets and outdated software for ease of fleet management.

ProDrive Compliance targets operators required to comply with Electronic Work Diary (EWD) legislation, fatigue management, maintenance, and safety reporting. This solution proposes to simplify compliance with Australian regulatory standards for heavy transport.

SnapLogic functions as an integration platform enabling smooth connectivity between fleet management systems and other business tools. By championing real-time data exchanges and automated processes, SnapLogic seeks to provide fleet operators with accelerated insights to enhance productivity and innovation.

Andrew Hintz, Associate Vice President, Heavy Transport Australia at Geotab, commented on the launch of these tools: "Our investment in heavy transport solutions continues to grow, and the introduction of SnapLogic, Gearbox, and ProDrive Compliance demonstrates our dedication to supporting the industry. These solutions address critical operational needs for fleet operators, ensuring they have the tools to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and remain compliant."

The announcement comes as Geotab continues to cement its commitment to the heavy transport sector, being present as a Gold Partner at the Brisbane Truck Show. This forum allows industry professionals to explore the complete range of Geotab's integrated fleet management technologies. Additionally, Geotab has partnered with the Australian trucking podcast Copy Southbound, aiming to deepen its engagement with the transport community.

The Geotab Marketplace remains a curated destination where fleet operators can access various integrations and solutions. The Marketplace is structured to provide extended capabilities, allowing businesses to go beyond core functionalities with tools such as those for Fuel Tax Credits, Electronic Work Diaries, temperature monitoring, and predictive maintenance.

Emphasising customisation and flexibility, the Marketplace offers a broad array of options alongside a growing library of APIs to cater to unique fleet requirements. Moreover, the Marketplace builds on deep industry expertise by enabling customers to find highly specialised solutions from providers with proven expertise.

Overall, Geotab's solutions aim to offer fleet operators a comprehensive oversight of their assets, simplifying compliance with industry standards while prioritising safety and maximising utilisation of fleets. The company remains focused on empowering Australian transport operators by offering data-driven insights across fatigue management, risk reduction, and performance optimisation.
