Octave Klaba named Chairman & CEO as OVHcloud unites roles

Fri, 24th Oct 2025

OVHcloud has announced a change in its governance with founder Octave Klaba appointed as both Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer.

At a recent Board of Directors meeting, the decision was made to unite the positions of Chairman of the Board and CEO, ending the previous separation of these responsibilities. As a consequence, Benjamin Revcolevschi's term as Chief Executive Officer concluded, and the company has expressed its thanks for his service over the past year.

The Board unanimously approved Klaba's appointment following a recommendation from the Nominations Committee. This change is aimed at strengthening the link between the company's vision, strategic planning, and operational execution in a sector experiencing rapid change and expansion.

Unified governance approach

"We are launching our new five-year Strategic Plan, during which our customers will be able to benefit from the last 10 years of massive investments, first in data centers and then in software. In the coming months, I will present our 2026-2030 strategic plan, 'Step Ahead,' to guide our teams and support our customers, while generating value for our shareholders," said Octave Klaba.

The company stated that this unified governance structure is designed to "strengthen the link between vision, strategy, and execution". It is anticipated that the change will enhance OVHcloud's capacity to respond proactively to market developments, reflecting both vision and operational responsiveness.

From the board

"The Board of Directors is convinced that reuniting the roles of Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer under Octave Klaba's leadership will strengthen the velocity and efficiency of OVHcloud's management. Octave Klaba will lead the Group with determination and agility, as he has done during OVHcloud's most decisive years, in a context that requires vision, rigorous execution, and innovation capacities. In a rapidly growing cloud market, his expertise, knowledge of the company, and understanding of customer and industry trends will enable OVHcloud to implement its strategic plan and build an operational roadmap for the coming years. The Board of Directors thanks Benjamin Revcolevschi for his contribution and commitment during his tenure and wishes him every success for the future," said Pierre Barrial, Lead Director and Chairman of the Remunerations and Nominations Committee, OVHcloud.

From the predecessor

Benjamin Revcolevschi reflected on his time at OVHcloud, saying, "Proud to have contributed to building a Group that is robust and more efficient. OVHcloud has delivered the expected performance and strengthened its commercial, operational, and institutional credibility in an unprecedented international context. I am leaving my position happy to have been part of this chapter in the group's history. I am convinced that OVHcloud has a solid organization and a committed team, ready to take on challenges with confidence. Octave Klaba is the ideal person to consolidate OVHcloud's position and lead the group towards its future goals. I wish him every success and would like to sincerely thank all our employees, who can be proud of what they accomplish every day."

Strategic development and European focus

As part of his new remit, Klaba intends to guide OVHcloud's next phase of expansion, focusing on the development and delivery of cloud and artificial intelligence solutions informed by the company's existing ecosystem of customers and partners. The company reiterated its commitment to technology grounded in strong European values, with a focus on openness, reversibility, and transparency.

OVHcloud highlighted that its cloud offerings aim to cater to a diverse customer base, ranging from digital start-up clients to companies undergoing rapid digital expansion, as well as large corporates seeking trusted technology partners. The five-year plan referenced by Klaba is set to build on substantial investments made over the previous decade.

Klaba, born in 1975 in Poland and a graduate of ICAM Lille, started OVHcloud in 1999 with the objective of providing accessible and high-performing internet infrastructure. The company experienced rapid growth under his leadership, first in France and subsequently internationally. Klaba has advocated for an open internet, prioritising customer freedom of choice and technological independence.

In 2016, Klaba secured additional investment from KKR and TowerBrook to accelerate expansion into new markets. OVHcloud shifted its focus towards cloud offerings in 2020 and has continued to prioritise issues such as data sovereignty and service transparency in its business model.

Previously, between 2018 and 2025, Klaba served as Chairman of the Board and chaired the Strategic and CSR Committee. He has a record of supporting technology start-ups, particularly in artificial intelligence and quantum computing, and has maintained a focus on building a robust, independent European digital ecosystem.
