Satellite Technologies (Satellite) stories - Page 5
Satellites are spatial objects placed in orbit to communicate with the Earth and provide a wide range of information services. Earth observation, communication, navigation as well as military are some of the main ways satellites are utilised.
Every satellite has its own trajectory according to its type. There are Low Earth Orbit (LEO), Geosynchronous Earth Orbit (GEO) and Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) Satellites. Nowadays, 4,550 satellites are in orbit of the Earth, though 80 of them are LEO ones
