Aeris honoured for global IoT eSIM connectivity leadership
Aeris has received a Global Competitive Strategy Leadership Recognition from Frost & Sullivan for its position in the IoT Connectivity Management Platform market.
The recognition covers Aeris' work in cellular connectivity platforms and services used by enterprises, mobile network operators and original equipment manufacturers. Frost & Sullivan said it assessed companies across strategy innovation and customer impact.
Aeris said it manages nearly 100 million IoT connections across 190 countries. The company also reported more than 6,900 companies as customers and connectivity agreements with 600 carriers.
eSIM focus
Frost & Sullivan highlighted Aeris' work on eSIM for IoT using the SGP.32 specification. The firm pointed to the size of the partner and customer base using Aeris' SGP.32-enabled product.
Frost & Sullivan also linked Aeris' position to partnerships with what it described as Tier 1 partners. It said that partner footprint shaped how Aeris approached interoperability and deployment across regions.
Cecilia Perez, Industry Analyst, Frost & Sullivan, says, "What truly differentiates Aeris is the scale and maturity of its partner and customer ecosystem already using its IoT SGP.32-enabled solution. This scale is evident as Aeris manages nearly 100 million IoT connections across 190 countries, cementing its role in global IoT enablement."
"This strategic position strengthens Aeris' role in global IoT enablement and ensures it remains at the forefront of interoperable, scalable, and secure eSIM solutions for businesses across regions. By harnessing this extensive network of Tier 1 partners, Aeris is driving the industry's transition toward next-generation IoT connectivity management."
Automotive base
Aeris also set out its footprint in connected vehicles. The company said it works with more than 50 automotive OEMs. It said those customers connect more than 41 million vehicles worldwide using Aeris.
The company also listed other verticals where it operates. These included utilities and energy, fleet management and logistics, medical devices, and manufacturing.
Acquisition legacy
Aeris cited an acquisition completed in 2023 that expanded its operations. It acquired Ericsson's IoT Accelerator and Connected Vehicle Cloud businesses. Aeris described the deal as part of its market expansion.
The company said it has a long-term growth strategy centred on global expansion and product development. It also cited nearly 30 customer partnerships.
Aeris pointed to investment across IoT connectivity, eSIM orchestration and analytics. It also referenced an "Agentic AI strategy" in its approach to product development and automation.
Product approach
Aeris said its connectivity management products aim to provide unified visibility across deployments. It said the products support multi-network connectivity and include security features and automation functions.
The company also described changes to service delivery and customer experience. It cited self-service through "next-generation portals" and a focus on service availability. Aeris also said it uses a partner-led delivery approach and emphasised localised support.
Jonathan Connet, Chief Product Officer at Aeris, linked the recognition to the company's platform approach and its wider roadmap.
"This recognition validates our strategy to build the most trusted, secure, and scalable IoT connectivity platform in the world," said Jonathan Connet, Chief Product Officer, Aeris. "It reflects the tremendous work by our Aeris team helping customers and partners simplify deployments, accelerate transformation, and protect data in an increasingly complex environment. We continue to accelerate our innovation in agentic AI and other value-added services for our growing IoT ecosystem."
Award criteria
Frost & Sullivan said it awards the Competitive Strategy Leadership Recognition annually. It said it looks for strategy development and implementation that lead to measurable improvements in market share, customer satisfaction and competitive positioning.
Aeris said it expects further growth in its ecosystem of enterprises and network partners as it expands its work in eSIM orchestration and automation for IoT connectivity management.
